Oscar and Betsy Design 2023 Collection

As a  traditional printmaker, I've always enjoyed the challenge of carving and colouring prints, the fact that  it slows down my day and focuses me on simply what's in front of me is an added bonus. 

From many years of creating wall art, I side-stepped into the wonderful world of pattern and repeat design.  

To me ,there's nothing more satisfying than drawing and carving a design that flows as naturally and as effortlessly as a leaf on the wind.

We create designs the traditional way. Reflecting a love of nature and the harmonising way the shapes and colours of nature  influence our lives

Each design is painstakingly drawn out and transferred to a Lino block before being printed on an etching press. From there, we retain the individual mark-making of the artist before going on to being rescaled and coloured digitally.

The marriage of old and new underpins everything we create here at Oscar and Betsy.
